Thursday Alternate Side Parking
Councillor Giambrone began a street cleaning pilot project in the south sector of Ward 18 in the Spring of 2004 and a secondphase was rolled out in the Spring of 2005. The project involved switching parking to the other side of selected streets on Thursdays (from April 1st to November 30th) to allow the cleaning crews access to the side of the street where cars normally park. Residents who were involved helped fine-tune it to ensure that any inconveniences were reduced

This new park and bike trail will begin construction later this year and will stretch along the east side of the rail corridor west of Perth Avenue, from Dundas Street in the south to Cariboo Avenue

Blue Box now accepts plastic tubs, jars and lids
Effective April 1st, residents can now kick their recycling efforts up a notch by including all plastic food jars, tubs and lids in their blue boxes. Items include plastic peanut butter jars, margarine, cottage cheese, sour cream and yogurt tubs, as well as plastic ice cream containers and lids.

On Friday July 1st, the City began a street-cleaning project in your neighbourhood that requires residents on sections of the streets listed below to park on the opposite side of the street on Thursdays.
