Open House - GO Transit Davenport Diamond Rail to Rail Grade Separation
Dear Residents:
It has recently come to my attention that GO Transit will be having a Public Open House about their newly proposed Davenport Diamond Rail To Rail Grade Separation Project.
As GO Transit has chosen to only advertise the attached flyer about their meeting in the newspaper, I felt it important to inform you about this meeting directly, since the proposed work by GO Transit will have a significant impact on our neighbourhood.
I encourage you to attend the GO Transit Open House that will take place on:
Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Time: 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Location: St. Josaphat School, 55 Pelham Ave.
(one block south of Davenport, 3 blocks west of Symington)
CLICK HERE for more information contained in a GO Transit flyer, including phone numbers for their project leads. If you have any concerns, questions, or comments I strongly encourage you to contact GO Transit directly at the numbers they provide.

Yours truly,

Warm weather is fast-approaching and snow banks are melting to reveal a winter’s worth of debris and litter. Here’s our chance to get involved and help clean-up Toronto.
The City’s annual spring clean-up events are a great way to get together with friends, neighbours and co-workers to reduce everyday litter. We have a shared responsibility to keep our communities green. What better way to turn your green ideas into action than to get involved and reduce litter.
It doesn’t take much time to make a difference – participate in the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover and help clean a public place for 20 minutes on Friday, April 24 at 2 p.m. While you can still get your free Makeover supplies (small and large lime green litter collection bags and gloves) from any Toronto Pizza Pizza location, City Community Centre or Civic Centre, this year, consider reusing a grocery-size plastic bag from home to collect your litter.
Mayor David Miller’s Community Clean-up Day is the next day, Saturday, April 25. Get together with family, friends and neighbours and clean a public space that is important to you – it could be a park, local street or even a river bank. Glad and Pitch-In Canada provide free bags for the City to distribute. Register to receive your litter collection bag.
We ask groups to register, from April 1-17, so the City can coordinate where collection crews can find and haul away the litter bags. You can register for either event or get more information at toronto.ca/litter. If the internet is not an option, call 416-392-7899.
Keeping Toronto green, clean and beautiful is up to all of us!
